We're looking for a skilled, experienced, and dedicated individual to join our growing team!
Compensation: $22 - $25/hour (based on experience).
Summary: Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of annual and interim recertifications for residents across a portfolio of affordable housing properties in the Buffalo, NY region. This position requires regular travel to all properties within the assigned portfolio to support onsite recertification activities, conduct resident meetings, perform file reviews, and collaborate with site-based staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of resident eligibility, maintains audit-ready documentation, and provides consistent, high-quality service.
- Collects, verifies, and assesses documentation related to household income, assets, expenses, and composition for eligibility determination.
- Calculates tenant rent portions and Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) & issues rent changes.
- Monitors recertification schedules and proactively follows-up.
- Prepares and submits required compliance reports to regulatory agencies
- Supports and participates in audits, inspections, and reviews conducted by HUD, state, or local agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned and commits to promoting company culture, mission and values.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing compliance regulations, including HUD and LIHTC program rules.
- Proficiency in housing or property management software (e.g., OneSite).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Required use of personal cell phone (reimbursement included).
- High School Diploma/GED required, Associate degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Regular local travel is required.
